Trimming Molds

We develop trimming molds that enable controlled separation of sprues, overflow, and burr regions in casting parts.

Sprues, overflow regions, and excess materials remaining on the part after casting are removed with trimming molds. Correctly identifying cutting areas, supporting the part evenly during processing, and reducing deformation risk are among the fundamental topics of the design process. An appropriate mold structure helps achieve the desired shape of the part in a controlled and repeatable manner.

The position of the cutting line, the geometry of the part, and the requirements of the manufacturing process are evaluated together to shape the mold components. Proper positioning of the part, placement of cutting elements, and operational ease are considered throughout the production process. In trimming molds developed by DMZ Mold and Machinery, dimensional compatibility, functionality, and suitability for mass production conditions are prioritized.
